    Carl Zeiss Binos

    Good day Gentlemen

My Dad brought these back from Berlin after the airlift and used them until he left the Army in 1954.

Is there anything to say about them? Military, Civilian, era? No case.

Many thanks in advance for your comments.

If they are of any interest they will be heading for the estand so an indication of value would be most helpful too.

    a few more pics

They are very similar to a pair of British WW1 binos (not Zeiss) I have seen that I wondered if they are WW1 era

      Hi JamesT,
you have a v nice original civilian version of the Carl Zeiss D.F. 8x.
I am guessing here but it was probably made between 1906 - 1915 period. The serial # will provide assistance on the date. This will be stamped on the lower hinge area.
I think your best price will be on UK Ebay .This seems to provide good prices for early CZ commercial binocs. Might get about 40 pounds...
