        I think it is a fake.
        its a scope and not a "Dienstglas"

            I believe it is a fake marking. I also think that the lack of coating from the machined area is obvious.

                thats not the question.

                SS Dienstglas sniper scopes are marked like the one i asked for.

                but the bones and the head is a bit different for me. the picture shows an original one and not the one from no.1

                      From my understanding of these....take it for what it is worth...

                      1. The actual scope types or different in that the one posted has a longer sun shade or objective? lense fitting
                      2. The serial number range is a good deal off.....real ones as I know them are in the last 30,000 and maybe very low 40,000 range
                      3. The sides where the markings are look to have been planed down and re-marked (both sides)
                      4. The SS marking and the serial number look to me to have been re-applied...different from originals
                      5. back to number 1 above, I think that the scope is actually a renumbered and re-marked post war 1950s or 60s period...the focus seems too me to be of that style.
