    Fitting High Turret Mount

    Hi,

I got my repro high turret mount today and i wanted to get it on my repro ZF39. Now I disassembled the scope so you should be able to shove the mount rings over but after 2mm on the scope I just cant get it further. I also dont want to force things and I cant find anything but could someone tell me on where I need to watch out for and what are the right steps. Could it be possible that the mount ring need to sandpapered a bit?

    Regards,

Looks nice! Did you solder the bases to the rifle or is it just held by the screws?

        Looks very nice indeed.

Now if only someone would replicate the straight piece rubber eyepieces with beaded end as well as flaired cone type already produced by Robert Spielauer, got to be a market out there for them?

Rubber eyecup I've seen these on ebay. Not sure if that's what you're after, but hey, it never hurts to help.

I got the rubber cup but forgot it to take me with it ( its only if the sun is in the back and this situation not needed ). Robert's is way to expensive. Just look on german hunting webshops, i got this for 12euro with shipping to Netherlands. Here is the one I got, it fits perfectly and as you can see you save a lot of money ( http://www.versandhaus-schneider.de/...oducts_id/5575 )

Besides that the mount is only screws, if u heath the screws i am able to get the mount of but its a lot of work so i am keeping the mount on.

                Hi Dave

I asked Robert before if he intended to make the straight beaded type rubber eyecup commonly seen on Zielviers but didn't mention his friend making them at time. I will ask again. Can you drop me a picture or two of it please?

Shifftyfreak hope the one you got from that shop is better than the pictured one on their site. looks like it is poor quality casting unlike Roberts and thats what your paying for with Robert. Picture makes it looks like it is disintegrating already, maybe a good thing though if you have a well worn used and abused original sniper scope it may fit in well. Thanks for link though.

The one on E-Bay looks like it could be for the dow type 2 sniper scope, seller could be more specific.

Now if someone will care to produce one also for the British or Australian Model/Pattern 18 scope or for the British WW1 Aldis sniper scope that is mentioned in references, but I have never seen one to date in all the years I have been collecting.

Go to agree that at first I also had my doubt about it but the quality is good and the one I received is looking if it just came from the machine.

Will post a photo of it one of these days when I got I got time.
