    Luftwaffe camera - original?

    Hi, I have no idea about cameras, this was shown to me by a friend of mine who purchased it at a Flohmarkt in Germany. Any ideas if it is original or not?

      It's one of the fake Leica's, think they are made in russia.

          It should look like this and they normaly dont have any Eagles.

                  Leica never made any camera's with eagles engraved, only with the " Eigentum..." mark. Another thing that gives it away, this is not a Leica IIIf, Leica only delivered those camera's for the German army and they have a slow speed dial on the front of the camera. This one has no slow speed dial.

                    This camera started as a Zorki camera which had the fake engravings added.

                      If you look on ebay for Leica II cameras you will find dozens of these fake leicas offered for sale.
