Tan tripod, what for?

My neighbour gave me this tripod, her man bought it some years ago in nothern germany (Cuxhaven)
I can`t find any markings, it looks like it is very late war item. What was it for?

Hi zeugmeister, a tough question and I do not have an answer ...but
the unpainted alloy sliders especially the spiked foot looks like a simpler version of the tubes found on the flakfernrohr 's Gestell 38. It is complex and well engineered so = possibly of german origin.
