Just picked up a pair of blc dientglass 10x50 binos. Theyre a lot bigger than the 6x30s. My question is, who used these bigger binos? The avg. foot soldier I dont think would, as they are just to big and heavy. Uboats? Tanks commanders? Thanks for the help

I have seen mostly Nco's and higher. But there are also photos that show lower ranks using them. All depends on what you were ordered to do and what they gave you to do it. Also tank crews would most likley have them.

They would have been used by Amry and Luftwaffe mostly although I have seen film footage of Luftwaffe maritime crews using sets which were not dientsglas. ( Tuina can Leitz and Smooth ocular blc).
Probably mostly senior NCO / Officers , they are who you mostly see with both 7x and 10 x sets.
Quite possibly flak and anti tank crews who had to operate a long range would have found a use for them , hard and fast rules for issue and use I am not aware of.Comment
