Some time ago a set of 8x60s was presented as being "an experiemental set" with focusing wheels built into the columns , it worked but made a mess of the set.
The seller in this case didn't know the eyecups were wrong.

The eyecups are not German, they are SARD which where fit on the binos after the war, the body is new painted.

I'm sure beginners would be happy to get the bino

If the set could be obtained at the right price they would be worth cleaning up - under the black the WW2 paint may be in good order - a chance one would have to take.

Replacement eye cups - reproductions are obtainable , a rainguard could be had if one was prepared to be patient or if not a good quality reporduction one with rubber cord can be had.

It is a question of price and what has to be done with the set , there is a point beyond which it might be best to let it go.

At the right money I would not say no to her ....if I had the right money to spend at this moment in time .
