    Latest KM & Tropical buys

    Hi all

I would like to share with you the items that I was lucky enough to pick up at a reasonable price for your appraisal, these BEH 7X50 Binoculars, Kriegsmarine 8day clock and a late war ordnance tan cag 6x30 Bino's with bakelite case all in very nice condition.

Also can anyone help me with the meaning of the N/G on the clock.

    Thanks
    Mal

I know the N is for Nordsee. I have the same type but mine has just the N. Yours has the same stamp N/G as the one shown on pages 313 and 314 of Torpedo los! by Gordon Williamson.

THE SERIAL NUMBER IS 125482 and they are all in super condition with clear optics. I would still like to know the meaning of the N/G, thanks to Dallas for the mention of the same clock in TORPEDO LOS! If anyone has this book would it be possible to send me a scan of the pages please.

I would like to thank you all for your kind response and take this opportunity to wish you all on Wehrmacht Awards a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS.

                Mal

N means either Nachrichten or Nordsee. (signals, or North sea)

G means it was made in 1935.

They had a code system for years. K was 1934, G was 1935.
Both codes are known from Luger pistols; I have a list here with a least 10 year codes.
Original german document reproduced in a book on the german coding system published in Germany.

So, G is 1935. ( or something completely different.)
