Special optic device

I know it may have been used on some IR device, but I lack photo or documentation on it.

looks like a optic of a camera, no factory markings????

No factory markings. Just the serial.
Just the same as the IR spanner devices.

The plug arrangement on the top does possibly suggest some kind of IR equipment? But it doesn't match anything I've seen before?
