              binoculars

The case for the 8x30 could be for any of the contract pre-war binoculars. Persian, Brazilian, etc. I would assume that at this point in the war the factory put binoculars in any case available. I have seen a number of late war gas mask binoculars that came back in std. leather cases.

Interesting foul weather cover. Are there any markings?

No, no marking to be seen but the leather has been beaten by weather for a long time so its possible there has been some.

8x30 Case, only markings are the Zeiss logo and postwar owners details and retailer ? sticker.

Dose any one know what model Rangefinder was made to be used with the flak 30/38's ground mount guns?

                      thanks Dan

                        Optics

                        Hi

I have this set of Hensoldt 7x56.
Is this a wartime set or prewar or postwar ?
I have seen this model on wartime picts and Helmut Weitze also have one for sale as a wartime model.
The case is markt with frn44.

Is there anybody out there who could give me some information?

                        Andy

Hi Gary, thanks for the pics !! Your case is for the 6x30 navy binoculars, the case for the 8x30 looks different. However the case is nice !!!!!
The 8x30 case is made of "Ersatzmaterial".
