Yuri, awesome field optics. Thanks for the Carl Zeiss historical link as well. I recently purchased a pair of field binocs, which I am trying to get some production info. I sent an e-mail through www.carlzeiss.com (which is their No. American div.) and am awaiting something...anything...They "could" be Third Reich period, we shall see. I'll be happy with them, even if they're not TR, as I paid a more than fair price. They're a vet purchased pair, model "Deltrintem" 8X30, by Carl Zeiss Jena. Are there any Zeiss collectors out there?

Johann,
The Carl Zeiss set.
A civilian model which dates from the 1930's.
" For travel , hunting and sport".
It is judged to be a well made binocular which compares well with Zeiss produced into the 1950's.
Rated to be one of the best all round sets made.
( See " Fine Binoculars of the 20th century" by R.C. Gregory M.A.) ISBN 0-9544050-2-1. published by Amwell books 2004.).

James, Thanks for the production info. Good news to me. They are supposed to be vet bring back 1945. Also, that they are a well rated set. If I get any more details from Zeiss Co., I'll be sure to add it. Thanks again...
PS, when looking at Yuri's optics, does anybody remember the movie "Short Circuit"? It's Johnny 5. Ha, ha...
