Dienstglas 6x30 binocular for Waffen SS?

    Hello.
Want to show you this binocular.
It`s story is as follows - it was bought for $ 30 at a flea market among various trash on Sunday. This is an old battered, war-witted German military 6x30 field binoculars, of which there are a lot of hands, it was produced by Rodenstock in Munich(ESO) at time of the Second World War.

Binoculars are not my area of interest, but the Waffen SS stamp attracted attention - it was applied, apparently, by percussion method over the mark of the ESO manufacturer.
The word Waffen came through better, a small dash and two Sieg runes - very faint, but distinguishable.
Have not seen before other binoculars with similar markings on the Internet.
And doubt very much that anyone wasted time and money on making an impact stamp for the sum of $ 30, while binoculars also cost money. It is serviceable, has a distance grid.

I ask you to express your opinions, dear experts - could this be the original marking Waffen-SS and the binoculars ordered by them could be so marked? Or is it someone's fantasy?

This topic is not pre-sale advertising, I just want to find out the truth with the help of professionals.

    Best regards, Alex.

Looks like the W-SS stamping bent the metal, and was done in two sessions, as the ‘n’ end of the word is much deeper than the very faintKY stamped ‘SS’.

To be frank it looks very amateurish, but then what do I know?

I have seen way to many fakes ( Ww2 era mil watches, my main area) coming from that part of the World, to assume anything is legit, to be frank.

I'm not too keen. Apart from the clumsiness of the markings, did they mark anything as "Waffen SS"?

Fake markings, looks like they have been worked over by an amateur. Sheet metal pieces look bent from the bottom of the bingo's. Anyway, no collector value but if the optics are still good you got something you can actually use and not worry about harming the collector value. For 30 dollars not a bad deal.
          Looking for a 30 '06 Chauchat magazine.

IMO the Waffen SS stamping was made postwar.
