    Flak Optics ????

An elderly friend of mine is going to be selling a full set of what he thinks are Flak Optics although he's not actually sure what they are. The set consists of everything in the photos plus the storage boxes, battery box and optics lead. I haven't attached the photos of the containers etc. but can if it helps.
He has owned this set for over 40 years.
Can someone please have a look at the photos and confirm what exactly he has, a ball park figure of what the set is worth would be a great help as well.

Sometimes, you can get more selling the individual components separately instead of as a set. Rough estimate ( in USD ) of what the individuals components might sell for and It all depends on condition.

$800-$1000-Binoculars with front shield and headrest

        $300-$450 - Top sight

        $250-$300 - Reticle light cable

        $750-900 -Tripod

        $400-$550- Storage storage box

        $400-$500 Cradle

(Note: the set is missing the turntable)

A complete set as reference without the original tripod.

I think it would be a shame to break up a complete set. A complet set in good condition should bring 2000-3000€, as they are very rare. If it pays up you have to find out yourself. Not to forget all the fuss with multiple auctions.

I spoke to the owner this morning, he is not going to break it up, he's going to sell it as a complete unit

                Excellent piece!
There is a great possibility it is in this ’complete state ’ since the end of the war. It seems to have the original colour even.

Being new to the optics collecting it took us much searching and luck to find a complete set in a nice condition!

The top sight specially is virtually impossible to find!
