Hello!
I am new to the memorabilia collection scene and recently started building a mid war kar98 with the bcd designation. I was wanting to attach a scope to this rifle but I'm having a hard time pulling the trigger on my purchase.
I found a zf39 scope online that has some very interesting markings. It is titled as WAFFEN SS zf39 and has very detailed inscriptions on the side of the scope.
I thought this was awesome - but I am having a really really hard time finding any information on the markings.
The goal of this project is to be 100% historically accurate... As in the weapon configuration could have potentially existed back during WWII, etc etc.
Here are some pictures. Is this REAL? Are the markings prestigious? Would this scope ever find itself in a bcd designated kar98?
Please help!
