I just picked up this box of "Ziellinienprüfer f. Gesh 2cm Kal".
I haven't seen this device before. It looks like Sight measuring equipment for 2 cm Flak 38 ??
Can anyone here on forum help?

Used to calibrate a gun of some sort? A 2cm ( 20mm) AA gun?

Litterally: line of sight tester.
Insert it in the breech end of the barrel, then check that the bore is aligned with the external optical sights By adjusting the external sight until bore and sight points at the same point in the distance.


The same thing can be done with an AR15 /M16 rifle. Just without optics.
Simply remove the back end of the rifle. Rest the receiver on a table and look through the barrel from behind. The sights should point at the same spot as you see through the barrel. No further adjustmens are needed for ordinary service use.
