Gentlemen- I am looking for some help identifying this unit or squadron insignia in the center of this westwall ring. It appears to be a crane (?) feeding its young in the nest. (?) any help with identifying would be greatly appreciated.

yeah it sure does look like that!
Well being its a WestWall spiral you got to do some searches,,see about units stationed by or related to WestWall.. Can't see why someone would dummy up something like that. Is the rest of the ring standard?

a crazy story.. The standard Wound WW ring. Well I tried to make one one time. Failed terribly. So I used a softer wire,,same thing couldn't do it. After a day playing around I finally had one. It kind of resembled this one! Single loop rear.
My opinion,, this is a period ring probably made by the owner or similar. That center is a cool thing.Comment
