I'd like some opinions on this Luftwaffe Flak Fliegerbluse please...

    Hi everyone!

To my eye this one looks good, but would like to hear what other tunic experts think about it. I'm not as familiar with the Fliegerbluse as I am the more mainstream types, so I'm not as comfortable with my own opinion here. I do see some definite surface mothing of the wool, as well as surface wear around the turn of the collar where it meets the neck. But obviously that does not equate to originality

    Thanks!

No brainer original. Congrats. Nice senior rank and Der SPiess to boot!
Doesn't get any better (unless you are into yellow farbe more)

Thanks for the feedback guys, I really appreciate it!

How much do you guys think the chunk of missing wool at the right-hand cuff impacts this tunic from a value and collectability standpoint? You can see it most easily in the photo of the back side. Would this be something you'd still want in your collection considering that flaw (not sure if you noticed it before now)?

It affects the value quite a bit; I noticed the damage but didn't mention it. I'd still love to have it since it appears to be a genuine der Spiess Fliegerbluse but of course the damage would be a factor in its price.

Nice tunic, the missing cuff chunk does not bother me too much, more that someone started to remove the eagle stitching thread. But overall nice tunic.

Thanks for the reply! I thought that too at first, but if you look closely it is simply another color thread. I thought this very curious myself, that they would use a blue thread to match the eagle background and tunic wool on only that one section of the eagle. The stitching is there, regardless.

                  Nice Fliegerbluse!

The darker thread on part of the eagle is interesting. Could we see an inside view?

I should have the tunic in hand in the next couple of days and will shoot some more photos.

Another beauty you've found there, Artillery tunic for der Spieß/ Mutter der Kompanie.I suppose the mouse bite to the sleeve could be repaired by a competent tailor using original fabric if wanted.
I like the fact that the slit is included in thetunic for the dagger hangers, looks like he kept this tunic for walking out purposes..

                      Cheers
