    Glider Cap Badge

I acquired this cap badge in a veteran's lot several years ago. As you can see, it depicts a glider attached to a silver wreath, which is backed on black velvet. I'm guessing this cap badge is from the 1920s or 1930s and imagine it was the cap badge for an officer of an early glider organization. Any information about this cap badge would be greatly appreciated.

Insignia like these were manufactured in various forms by for example Friedrich Linden, even in the later 1930's. It was phrased as fantasy-insignia (Fantasieabzeichen). They were worn by persons that admired flying in any form.
