    WW2 Luftwaffe Tuchrock and Waffenrock

    Hi,

Apart the fact that the Waffenrock has a fifth button to close the collar of the tunic, is there any way to differentiate it from the Tuchrock?

There's a neck hook, like the fliegerbluse.

And also a pocket for a medical pouch inside I think.

      Best regards,

            Old (and now incomplete) thread:

            http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=181284

The Waffenrock supersedes the Tuchrock (although the latter continues in wear throughout the war - if you have one, why bother replacing it).

Sometimes Tuchrocks were also modified in the style of the Waffenrock (to close to the neck). See this thread:

            http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru....php?t=1006897

There was also provision for the wear of belt hooks (remember, the Waffenrock was meant to replace both the Tuchrock and the Fliegerbluse).
