Collar tabs on estand

Hi Guys,

These have been posted for sale by member Barrymac- several sets and all are reproduction in my opinion. Hopefully I am wrong but I have concerns about the buckram and design on the following sets-

IMO repro all of them , from the same source , same making .
The wings are split in the middle , they should not be , for example .

Hi guys,

Thanks for the heads up. I had read the double chevron thread and thought these did not exhibit all the same characteristics.

I was really hopeful that these were all authentic. It is a real kick in the Crown Jewels.

I am deeply disappointed.

Hopefully the seller will accept them back in good faith. This is the second crash and burn of 2019. The missus will go mental.

Can you please also throw your eyes over the ones in this thread please.

Thanks for posting that other thread also- again I'm sorry but IMO only the reserve Hauptmann set are period. All the others have post war styles of buckram- common in 1970's and onwards copies.

I will be in touch with the seller, unfortunately most only give a 14 day return on these items. I am hopeful that a gentlemanly approach might ensue

The really crazy part of this is that it was the reserve Hauptmann tabs that looked the poorest quality to me and the ones I would have had most doubts about. Shows how much I know

I am going to do what my wife and 4 kids do, listen to what I say and then do the exact opposite. Now I know the reason why.

Hi all,

I was in touch with the seller. He is happy that the items are correct but has kindly agreed for me to return them and offered a full refund.

Although I have not mentioned which website it was I would just like to say that it is heartening to see that their are honest, open minded and fair people out there in this day and age.

If he reads this thread I will allow him to put a comment up if he so wishes.

For what it's worth, yes there are still good honest people out there. I have posted several items with questions and thanks to this site I have got a full refund.
