Very true Steve. A prewar RGG tunic would also have piped Flak collar tabs, and many had marksmanship lanyards like this one. Medals are prewar. EKII ribbon appears to be added. Eagle is not centered on pocket. Cufftitle also applied in a non-tailor manner.

An early RGG guy is likely to have served in the first winter in Russia, and have earned the Ostmedaille, and not wearing prewar items. If we are going to use the logic of he added the HG cufftitle in 1942.

Issues which can all be explained, but.......

A little bit too many issues for my taste.

Not saying it wasn't possible - just not liking it in this example. Not an officer candidate, not a tailored tunic and not well applied.

The eagle's placement is certainly not textbook. I have found several period photos of Eagles being carried "high" over the pocket - Rudel and Sperrle, for example. I can live with a potentially replaced or upgraded eagle if that's the case. The medals I just put on there for display - other than the EKII ribbon.

As always, gentlemen, I appreciate your opinions.
