    clean bluse

Hello, I have just acquired this magnificent jacket summer to generalmajor luftwaffe. She(it) possesses almost everywhere tasks accumulated for 70 years. I shall want to know if a cleaning in the steam-pressing is recommended or it is better has him(it) to leave in his(her) state. Would she(it) depreciate if I clean this jacket? Thank you

This linen material is quite easy to clean, of course remove all insignia (collar tabs with press studs?) first.
But be aware it ill glow after cleaning under black light, cause of modern chemicals.

Thank you for the information. Actually they are buttons pressures for the legs of collars(passes)

Thought so - even back then those tunics had to be cleaned quite often, therefore insigina is easy removable.

There is a very gentle linen and silk cleaner that removes stains well. Something like this preferable to steam which can harm the fabric.

My wife buys this, expensive but worth every penny.

I would just leave it be, but that is just me. Never like cleaning something unless absolutely necessary.
Any close ups of the kragenspiegel?

Totally agree, most pieces are best left alone. Some stains are harmful however.

as for my taste its not worth to clean it.it has nice patina and match perfect with patina on insignia, after you clean it you may get like new tunic with salty insignia .
