    Reference book

    Hello guys,

    The last years i was interested in the badges and uniforms off the Luftwaffe but I didn’t want to buy one because i was still collecting other things ( Belgian stuff ). But the Luftwaffe keep molding through my head and now i decided to begin looking for a four pocket tunic and some badges...

    But i don’t want to buy anything without the knowledge i need... Can anyone tell me which book i can buy as reference...

    Personally, I would suggest the three book series, "Uniforms & Tradtions of the Luftwaffe" by John Angolia & Adolf Schlicht. Each book specializes in certain aspects of the Luftwaffe such as flight uniforms and equipment, the tropical uniforms, the Hermann Goring Division, etc. They are very detailed and have vast numbers of period illustrations.

    These books have become somewhat pricey of late and certain volumes may be hard to get. So, if you don't want the whole 3 book set, find whichever book would be most relevant to your area of collecting. Just my 2 pfennigs! Good luck!

      For the badges you can buy Previtera's books on the Luftwaffe badges and flight clasps. You will definitely avoid losing a lot of money with these two books. Completed with all the threads in this forum you'll be quickly able to walk in the mine field.
