What is the difference between the collar tabs on the picture left and right?????????

What is the difference between the silver edges on the collar tabs in the pictures left and right?

I got a uniform of a Luftwaffe man, its a fliegerblouse.
It is an ordinary men uniform.
I want pants underneath it but they are very expensive.
So I want a pair of trousers from a unteroffizier but then I must also change the collar tabs.
Does anyone have tips for me what the possibilities are.

    Thanks in advance

No difference in rank, the collar patches with the silver litz are for the greatcoat, that is the only difference

The tabs (pictured) with the tress sewn on them are for wear on the overcoat, but you can find pictures of them being worn, incorrectly, on a uniform.

These overcoat tabs were suspended from wear in '43 or '44 (I don't have my reference books with me).

Hi Gary, I believe it was October 1942 when the collar tabs were dropped from Luftwaffe greatcoats.

I think there is a picture somewhere of Hans Ulrich Rudel next to a couple of NCO's (both) with overcoat tabs on their fliegerbluse's.

          Best regards, Paul
