I had always thought these were worn by security workers? Doormen wore a different armband but still similar in style. Would love to find period photos of any of these luftwaffe admin workers either way one dayComment

"With the Dienstbekleidung for doormen and elevator-servants from the Luftkreiskommandos the armband was worn with winered pipings: 10 cm wide.
a) Oberpförtner: 2.0 mm from the upper and lower edge alumunm braid, 10.0 mm wide;
b) Pförtner: 2.0 mm from the lowest edge a 10.0 mm wide aluminum braid. This braid was not mentioned at the upper braid;
c) Hilfspförtner and Fahrstuhlführer: no braids.

With the date September 20, 1937 (Lvl. nr. 40, page 523) the armband was also allowed to be worn by guards:
Wachleiter as a); Wachhabenden as b) and Wachmänner as c).Nothing was said about the wine-red piping. "
