Is this 'ball' really a V1 missile component?

If so, what is the market value of it?

    Thanks!

Are there any markings on it whatsoever?

    Compared with this:

    Does not look the same.

No markings. And the original steel wire around it, is of course long gone.

I bought it yesterday. The seller, who was still a kid during the war, could tell me everything about it. This 'pressure bottle' comes from an unexploded V1 that was launched from a site in Almelo (province Overijssel, near the German border). He still knew where it came down. Nice item with a nice story.
