    GenLt Rieckhoff's tunic

Here is one of the tunics of RK holder Generalleutnant Herbert Rieckhoff. He was apparently fond of the full button up tunic based on pics that are on line.

Very Nice jacket, I wonder why he did not have the ek ribbon and spange in the button holes on this jacket, like in the other pics? Did you obtain nay other items? or know would become of them?
        Cheers

It is possible that he used the removable type that many officers utilised (with pins to attach it). Makes it easier to have cleaned etc. And it can be moved from tunic to tunic.

I have to say that I am also fond of this tunic variation style.

The tunic made it's way to the US in the 1980's, from the documentation I have. The guy who originally acquired it from the family also had two pairs of trousers, a pair of gloves, and a photo of Rieckhoff. Over the years, things have separated, and I was able to acquire this tunic and a pair of straight-leg trousers. I also have a copy of his 1935 promotion document to Major. I have no idea where everything else is.

I just noticed in the top picture it is a ek2 without a ribbon? or ribbon is barely visible, instead of a RK. (Just informed of this awarding of the RK?).
In the bottom picture he is wearing a rk and the ribbon is under shirt not tunic collar.

                    Hello Gentlemen,
Wow! In my opinion, this is a fantastic tunic! I love the insignia and the even wear overall.
                    Thanks for sharing,

There's no name tag in this one.
