    Luftwaffe leutnant feldbluse

    Hi all,

I want to know your opinion about this uniform.
    It looks good to me.

I know at minimum that the insignia was replaced by an amatuer. There are signs that there were CTs removed at some point. Could this be an early Bundesluftwaffe tunic?

The scallop pocket flaps are atypical for ww2 Luft tunic's. J (with the proviso that some were seen on period pics)

I am leaning toward Bundesluftwaffe with the scalloped pockets and the poorly sewn insignia. The buttoniere in the lapel is also odd.

                +1.

All the 'hallmarks' of an early 1960's Bundesluftwaffe tunic.

The tunic is or was never mine but I wan't to learn what is wrong with the tunic.
It is not right just because of the scallop pockets?
Okay textbook are the straight pockets, but I saw a lot of original LW tunics with the scallop type.

                  Cheers,

I am not certain I have seen prewar/wartime LW tunics with scalloped pocket flaps that were not tailored in the Reichsheer style with slash lower pockets.

I have also seen prewar/wartime LW tunics with scalloped pocket flaps on period pictures.

                      This jacket is BundesLuftwaffe IMHO.

Scalloped, if my eyes don't deceive me...

Notice the difference in the lapels on the period photos compared to the jacket in question.

                              Yes that's definitely different.

The jacket in question has my opinion...
