    Parachute 27 II S 20

I got this part of parachute type 27 II S 20. Since there is only limited information regarding early type parachutes in the literature, I would like to ask whether anyone has some details available. I have already tried FJ forum but without much success. Thank you.

        Hello,

It's the outer packing bag of the parachute.

In the book "Die Deutsche Wehrmacht - Part 3 Luftwaffe" from Angolia and Schlicht the 27 II S 20 is discribed.
There's also a sketch of the parachute and its parts.

        Best regards,
        Lukas

Thanks for the information Lukas. The Angolia volume had a lot of interesting information, diagrams, and photos. Introduced in 1936 as a pilot's seat/ lower back chute. As we suspected in the FJ section, it was not a chute used by the Fallschirmtruppen.
