The red tail (or tail band) + swastika roundel was a prewar thing for the most part...unless it was an ambulance airplane.
Those sometimes kept the high visibility red backed nationality markings on the tail...

I see the April 10 or 16, 1945 and the name of a German town beginning with Mes.

                I see that also! April 10, 1945
It's probably Mosbach, Germany but spelled wrong... " Mossback", GERMANY (phonetically)

Illustration: Yes another example of pre war red backed nationality tail markings which sometimes were maintained on air ambulances during the war...

The period B/W picture shows pre war bi-planes with such tails, again not seen in 1940-45, so the tail came from a war time (crashed 1945) air ambulance IMO

                    I think you're right.

Also, did he spell Nazi as "Nazie" ?

"Taken from a Nazie plane bought down by ack ack."

Yep! For some reason on JU52 ambulance planes they did not keep the pre war style "red banded" nationality markings...On Storchs they obviously did.
Like I stated it came of a medical Storch for sure!

I'm of the opinion that every German aircraft that the Allies came across was "shot down"!
