    Trimmed LW Officer Tabs - Commonly-encountered?

    Is this common are a one-of-a-kind odd occurrence? LW Officer tabs are trimmed so that the badge cloth does not fold over the buckram in the back, making them very thin tabs.

    Any opinions would be appreciated.

    looks like someone removed the blue piping for a reserve officer

        for what it's worth i've never seen it before either. i bet paul r or gary b could give a much better assessment of this. guy got transferred from reserves to regular?

          it looks like there are cut something waffel cloth out and glued behind the red cloth?

            Yes, looks like the backing was fixed on top and not the fabric trimmed short. So that would mean that the tabs are not thinner than normal ones.
