    Channel trousers without pockets

    Hello,
I have a question regarding channel trousers. From time to time, I see channel trousers without any leg pockets (meaning front and side pockets for flare gun or seenotflagge) offered by dealers. They sometimes call these bomber trousers...I have not seen any historic picture of these trousers. Can someone provide moře information about these trousers? Thank you.

I think that the pockets was removed postwar.
Then you could use the pants as civilian

Well, that was an option. But if you check for instance the white trousers offered at Collactors guild, you do not see any signs of the orginal pockets. The surface does not shows any holes for example. On the other hand, on all period pictures I saw regular channel trousers worn by all members of the plane.

There're types of trousers which don't have pockets, one is the sheep skin pair in white, brown or blue/dark grey ..
All "text book" channel trousers have pockets.

Hello, were you looking for info on flight pants the pilots altered on their own? Here are a few pics showing pilots with removed front pockets. Best, Bill
