    Luftwaffe compass

    Hello

    I would like to buy this Luftwaffe compass on Helmut Weitze shop. Please, just tell me if that compass is 100% wartime ? Is it possible to date it with the serial number ?

      Some of them have a serial number engraved in the bakelite and others have no numbers. Can you explain that difference ?

        Interesting detail, Euronymous. I have just checked in a box where I have all my extra flight equiment and none of these 2nd type compasses I own has this serial number.

          my 2nd type compass has also a Serial-number at the same place. The markings on the top are black, not red.
          OK, there were many thousands produced by some different manufacturers.
