    LW officer's visor(Erel Privat)

Had time today to take some pics of an Erel privat LW officer's visor(with ventilation cocade), which I got from a forum member some time back.

Inside. Sadly the SB shows heavy deterioration. Since it is not visible from outside, I can live with that.

A handsome visor cap, that. My ERel Privat is very similiar, but without the vented cockade, and dated August, 1943.
Sadly, it has sweatband issues like this one, and probably a bit worse. The leather seems to have dried out over the years, and is quite fragile.
Yet, no mothing at all on the exterior.

Very nice looking cap! Some of the visors in my collection shows similar SB issues as well... Too bad that it can only get worse with the time passage and we have no other options other than leave it as it is...

Nice cap. What's the date under the sweatband - 39?

I could not check the date under the SB because of its condition. I am afraid that it will break if I do. However, I believe that it is of earlier manufacture.
