I was wondering if anyone had some information about the military career of Karl Leon (born 1885) ? He may have been in the Fliegertruppe in WW1...

Apologies if this is redundant, but this is what I have:

LEON, Karl. (DOB: 16.04.85).
01.01.40 promo to Oberst (Erg.O.).
20.05.40 appt Abt.-Chef in Stab/Gen.d.Flakwaffe in RLM.
10.06.43 Oberst in RLM (L.In.4), appt Chef Amt Befestigungen in tab/Gen.d.Flakwaffe (L.In.4).

Hi guys,
Thanks for your answers. There is a possibility that the other Leon (Oberst Walter Leon) is a relation of Karl's - maybe his brother.

Does anyone happen to know about Karl's WW1 service?

In the WWI list for officers there are two Leons, both were in Pionier Battalion 8, one a Major and the other a Hauptmann which would make sense if they were related as cousins etc and maybe even brothers.
