Tunic looks o.k. There are no apparent 'red flags' on design and construction, in my opinion.
Method of attachment of eagle is curious (as is the ribbon bar/ribbon in buttonhole affect).
I'd also like to see some more images (is it just me/my eyes, or are the tabs and boards a different colour?).
Price is relative to demand, although I also think it is on the higher end.

The position of the eagle is right where it should be, just above the button. 20 years ago my very luft officer was like this and I thought it odd since I can't open the pocket. Now after seeing and handles hundreds of Luft tunics as well as reference photos, it's text book. In the case when the guy is short, some times half the eagle were covered by the lapel.
SOS does have some good deals, as I attend every year. but it also cost a lot to get there especially from overseas. My advice is to negociate with the dealer if you really want it.

I agree with Don. The tunic is way to expensive.
The tunic, tabs, boards etc. are all original but without any provenance you can never be shure if you don't buy a put together tunic.
A stripped LW offcier tunic is worth around 600EU, flight major tabs and boards around 120EU, eagle 70EU so total around 800EU.
I would not pay more than that, but it's just my opinion.
Good luck,

And to answer Dragon - This is from Grenadier Military Antiques (Bruce Herman)

Hi Yun,
In my opinion, this is a beautiful, high quality tunic. I see no red flags based on these photos. The color difference noted is likely a factor of lighting. The eagle is placed fine, for my money (I'm happy to see my buddy Adam came to his senses there ), and everything else looks good for the most part.
The only thing I'm noticing is that there that there may be some shadows slightly above the eagle wings, indicating it may have been previously. But my guess is that it's just a factor of the photos, and my tired eyes are deceiving me. These photos are not great, and I would ask for clear, high resolution photos as others had mentioned before ordering, with a hands-on to confirm.
I agree that it is on the high end of current market value, but I don't think it's so high that I would pass. Finding higher quality examples like this is more difficult. If this were named it would have already been sold. The real question is, what's it worth to you?
This is assuming everything checks out after a hands-on inspection.
Hope that helps,
Jason
P.S. I was surprised to see the comment about provenance. Are some collectors only buying tunics where the provenance is clearly traced back to the vet or liberator?

This could easily be the better deal, depending on the details.
