        The watch may be real but the eagle on the dial and the markings on the back have been added to sell this rubbish.

          I totally agree David, but
          1. were are these fake eagles added?
          2. are these listed of sold somewhere as repros, so we can objectively "prove" to any ignorant young collector that the two eagles are fake?
          3. how is it possible that a watch like this sells for 1500 euro?

            1:- While not wishing to point the finger at any one country I will have to just say Eastern Europe.
            2:- IMO the younger collector has a better chance of finding an original then I did when I was younger. They have the internet and there are plenty of dedicated watch and clock websites that reveal the real thing. Also using the search function on here would also help.
            3:- People are greedy, earn too much money and assume that nobody fakes this stuff. As we all well know, fakes have been around since the war ended (maybe before, who knows) and the faker pray on these people. Very similar to the fake "419" emails offering love or hidden African millions. They only need to score once a month to make it worth while.

              The watch in question has a movement number of 4047376. The case number is 1880888. Please refer to the table below which proves this is NOT a WW2 watch.

                David, the seller avoided this fact by stating that it was an old wristwatch reused during the war because of shortness in Germany.

                  Well they would, they know its a wrong one. One looker originals do not need any explanations to prove they are real. Typical dealer / faker trick.

                        I looked closely at the photo and I agree with you that the Eagles fake.
                        But even if they were not fake how do they relate to the Fliegerwatch
