    LW Summer Flight Helmet?

    I've been offered this piece, and wander if it's LW.
    Also, as I only collect naval stuff, I'd love to have any indication of the value, if it's good.

        Hi there!

        Its a modificated Lkp S 100. Someone add the later laringophone 'Y' set (came from the 101 series flight helmet). You can see the old place of the microphones on the side of the helmet, where there's a little squared piece of leather.
        Was added also a different kind of chin straps and the green canvas under their and the frontal edge of the helmet. In origin it have two straps one on each side.
        Also the original label is missed.

            Thanks for a brief explanation.

            I am not sure when this was changed and who added the parts on it, nor why would they do that.

            What would be the price for such a piece, with all that said?

              Depends… For me a so heavy modified helmet worth '0'. It is not the easier to found these early stuff, but sometime they popped out!

                  You will work quite hard to find an untouched one, but at least you will have an object that you will never have the desire to upgrade!
