    Luftwaffe - Rettungsschwimmweste...opinion please

    Hello everyone, today I recovered this from an old warehouse.
    I do not even understand this material, I only know that it is a "Luftwaffe - Rettungsschwimmweste", but I wanted to know more information.

              It looks like you found a model 10-30 B-2 inflatable life preserver. It looks original, but I will let the other members of the forum comment on this. It was primarily used by Luftwaffe pilots and other aircrew. If original, value wise I see them on the average sell for around $1,400 (1,200 to 1,300 Euros) give or take a couple hundred either way. Nice find. My error, it is a model 10-30 B-1,again nice find

                Is the waist band a replacement?? Otherwise it is original .. interesting to see a metal inflation mouthpiece on an example dated late '41

                  Yes, replaced waist band and probably replaced rubber hose and mouth piece..IMO.
