Luftwaffe Major of Flight Tuchrock - Opinions, Please

All, picked this up out of an old collection and wanted to get some opinions on it. It has a lot of character and was obviously heavily worn (both elbows carefully and well patched) by the previous owner. No reaction to black light on any of the insignia save for the tacking stitching that is exposed where the armpits are loose, but that's period thread. I'd like to get opinions on the boards and tabs as Luft is not my area. As always, any help much appreciated!

    Don

It looks to me like the previous collector tried to repair some of the loops as some are still broken while others have a different colored thread - still UV negative. Looks to have had the Spanish Cross or DK:

                Hi Don,
I think your tunic is a perfectly fine, original early tunic. It would have been cool if it was named so you could track some information down on this fellow, but regardless, it is a lovely tunic that saw some honest actual service use.
                Thank you for sharing,
                Curtiss

LOVE the stitching on that eagle.

                        Hi Don,

I would agree with the others. Good insignia; unique eagle as well.

Yeah, when people talk about insignia being welded on, this is a prime example, Adam.
