That's a nice original tunic. No intent to be negative, but I would approach with suspicion that no telling when, probably doctored up with the tresse and CT.

I agree with Ray.....original tunic and eagle...Cuff title may be post war applied so be cautious if/when purchasing.

Thanks for the comments, and yes, I know I have to be careful.

Does anyone have problems with the boards.?..

The straps are made from Italian Ilona cloth with doubtful looking piping; likely reproductions. The tunic looks good, who can say about when the tress and title were applied.

Italian cloth is different in colour and fabric .
These boards are made in the early LW tropical cloth , smooth cotton .
IMO original , no problem .
I don't see any issue with the piping , a classical synthetic one ?

I agree, often that type of piping has a synthetic white cord inside that glows bright when exposed to a black light. The outer weave of medical blue in this example is some what courser/ loose when compared with known beyond doubt rayon piping such as the signal boards in the lower image ,

Interesting, the boards on this one are made from the same "Italian Ilona cloth"

After handling these straps it was clear they were not original. The cufftitle and NCO tress were nicely machine sewn and determined to be era done.
