There are several types/ variants of Luftwaffe splinter patterns found on smocks/ GD jackets. Colors, fabric, slight over print on the edges as on the style these boards are made from, etc.
The smock and jacket you posted are NOT the same as the boards in question. That is why both OSS and I said we have not seen a jacket, smock, or boards yet.Willi

Fabric IS tha same without doubt. the LW splinter pattern are the same. Colors on item in question ONLY differs in which light they photograft in, yellow indoor light or blueish outdoor light or a mix of them both, AND with wear and tear they fade. This is why the colors don´t match exactly on the photos/items in question.
So we are only down to the "in registre" printing question, and here can there be some "overlapping" of colors due ONLY to which batch these rolls of fabric were printed in and which batch they came in.
In this case the "in registre" argument does NOT apply as a reason that Radeks boards isn´t the same as the smocks LW splinter plain ribbed fabric. Because the ARE the same and fits the shown FD smock.

I´m just warning Radek(as I myself have been warned) to be careful with these as I have experienced numerous of times that wiser collectors talk things down, then to buy it cheap later for them self.Last edited by Michael N; 02-20-2015, 01:55 PM.

A lightly worn early splinter (10-40) and a lightly worn later splinter (10-43, and in the pattern 'similar' to the boards) with a cut eagle piece from an even later (usually these are dated '44) smock which is like the board in question (the rain streaks are bolder on this one so it is actually a closer match).
Then just a side by side of the two lightly worn patterns. The early one is like the splinter in the photos of post #15, while obviously the later one is more similar to the boards (though lightly worn).Attached FilesWilli

Hello Willi and others,
it is interesting thread which will bring new information about this type of boards. As I wrote in first post, all opinions are welcome. I made that pictures just with Ipad. I´ll be able to make a better with camera tomorrow.
Willi, I´m not interesting to bring them next week to SOS... I will bring just me

I understand the source of the confusion with the similar materials and variant LW Splittertarn patterns. I continue to hold the opinion I stated but keep an open mind as I would love to find a smock made out of this late-war splinter that the straps in question are constructed from.
