    LW Property stamp on holster

Anyone familiar with this marking found on a P08 holster? I am familiar with Fl. indicating Flieger as in Fl.H. for Flieger Horst, but I can't figure out the U. and V.

    Hi,

It's Flieger Unterkunftsverwaltung (housing for flying personnel)

I only know that stamps from dishes and cutlery...
I don't think that this is realistic on a holster.

    Best regards,
    Lukas

I have that stamp on a chair and I have seen it on many many items over the years. It looks good to be and I would be happy to own it.

Thanks very much for that information. Will file it with the Military Intelligence listing of German abbreviations.

This is a burn mark, not a leather stamp..
It was used to put in tables and chairs, the kitchen and bedroom stuff.
Rather strange to find it on a holster.

              I agree Jos.

Joe, no other markings on the holster?

Perhaps it was a holster for a mess hall guard, in case someone complained about their meal.......

Nothing else on the holster Willi. I agree it's a burn mark, not an impressed stamp. Odd at that. Not mine. Trying to help another collector who bought it at the Las Vegas Show recently.
