    luftwaffe fb thoughts

im looking at buying this for my collection but as always i need you good eyes/vision to assist me.
    the sellers blurb is
"Very fine Luftwaffe Fliegerbluse for a Feldwebel in the flying branch. This tunic has all period machine sewn collar tabs and a hand sewn eagle and Pilots badge. The right sleeve has a machine sewn “Geschwader Boelcke” cufftitle. On the left sleeve is a Krim campaign shield that has been applied through the sleeve material. It is marked “LBA 40″

    thank you for your help.

              Hi Pablo

Could you get close ups of the eagle and collar patches inside and outside. From the photo ( from afar) it looks like the eagle had been re-attached.

Yes, need more photos. Could be a 'jazzed up' FB. Eagle reapplied and not quite in the correct position. Pilot's badge also added and I don't even think it is original.

The whole thing has been Frankensteined and I don't like that pilot badge.

I agree with Gene, nearly all the insignia have been reapplied post war. The pilot badge is fake. The shoulder straps seem to be the wrong size for the tunic. Many questions....one answer, dont buy it....if already purchased, return it. Steve

Gentlemen thank you and i really appreciate you thoughts,

i also had my doubts but as always i don't like to say any thing in my write up as i dont want to "cloud" others peoples judgments on any item by stating my thoughts 1st.

as they say-no sale, i wont be buying it and the search goes on for me for one of these.

if you know of a nice one please do inform me or a nice officers fb, like most of us im not rich so i wont be paying over the odds for one and will keep searching.

thank you all again for your help,
                      cheers-Pabs

In my experience with officer Fliegerbluses all breast eagles have been hand stitched
