what are your thoughts on this eagle it has a green backing like a ww2 American patch
late war production??
Repo?
I tried finding one all I came up with were HBT eagles
are these rare?

I do not like this one.
IMO, it's not attractive and lacks the beautiful and detailed embroidery I like.
Not one I'd want in my collection.

What about this eagles backing?

I think it is an extremely worn (are heavily washed, etc) original. The green is just the filler thread. Not a backing. Some can be encountered with blue filler thread, but most are white, gray, off-white, etc.

What about this eagles backing?

They did use odd backing material, just saw a bullion luft eagle with flowers at the back ..
Anything was used at a certain stage, I personally love those odd items ..
