    Luftwaffe breast eagle opinion

    Hí Guys
    Just arrived this is a Assmann Eagle and I would like to show to you
    but IMO this is good condition
    What do you think about it ?

        It's a original cupal eagle, maker unknown sofar, but it's not a Assmann.

          I agree with Jos, not Assmann but we do know that the same identical hardware (mounted on oval plates) is also seen on a Heer/KM (gold & silver) cupal bird set as well

            I thought that material Aluminium as the other birds ?

              Nope! It weighs about the same as an aluminum bird would but your bird (I have the same one) is definitely cupal: aluminum "sanwiched" between 2 thin layers of copper. The front is minty but if you look at the back you will see it has toned as copper would where the finish is worn and you can usually see the demarcation line between the aluminum and the copper layer around the edges/die cut .

              Cupal is nothing to frown upon as, in addition to a number of quality Heer/KM/Luft summer birds variations, it was also used on some war badges and "light " Deutsches Kreuz (like 20 and 134 marked DKs) for example
