IMO complete and utter rubbish. Could be wrong but I am sure that I am not.

Lots of pictures but none showing the poppers, zip details, under collar or inside cloth.

This is NOT a test or late version. I dont like it. Lets here what the experts say.

So its an early one then? Can you think of any reason why the poppers have been damaged like they have?

A M38 that was not modified after 1940 by adding pockets, but was converted into open front configuration with flare gun holster, etc after 1941. Two separate modification periods, but the first one was missed in this case. Have seen this a number of times before.
