German plane clocks came in different designs, depending on the main purpose. This was a chronograph for pilots and was designated BO-UK1. Navigators had the BO-UK2, and Radioman BO-UK3.
BO-UK1 was introduced in 1938 and installed in almost all fighters. It went through rapid improvements every year until 1942, so 5 annual variations are known (38, 39, 40, 41, 42). One you have is the last 1942 model and this design continued to be used into the 60s by the Bundesluftwaffe. Yours is in pretty rough shape, missing the stop watch hand, etc. A nice one in 100% working order can range 200 to 300 Euros on Ebay, and they are common enough, so you can easily find better ones. They were removed from the planes every 3 months for maintenance and maintained to an accuracy of give or take 15 seconds in 24 hours. They are very usable today, but they run only 36 hours on one windup, unlike the 8 days of a BO-UK2, so it becomes a drag to keep them running. Here are the 5 variations plus the post war version for comparison ( from the top row, left to right).
