I have been after a brown belt for a bit to complete an EM display and Im sort of interested on this one. Neverthless, I am a bit concerned with this one due to the residue of material in the reverse. This is the first time I have encountered one with apparently cloth backing. Opinions seeked.

Gene, as far as I know late enlisted belts (from 1944 onwards) also came without the tapered inner strap and the buckle holes directly in the belt, am I so wrong?

All the issue belts that I have seen that were LBA stamped had tapered belts, just like all the brown parade type belts that came with Luftwaffe buckles have had the tapered belt as well. Brown issue belts were used by the RAD and so marked, but I have yet to encounter one that had a tapered belt with RAD unit markings. It's just something consistent I have seen over the years.WAF LIFE COACH
