Maybe be it will be off topic, but I have to ask my self and others. This seller has 3783 posts, so not a new member and sell this jacket. He has to know what he sells. And what will happen than? I´m sure nothing and next week will be on e-stand more fakes from others... So, I would like to say only that this is reason why I don´t post more.

      Regards Radek

There is no doubt : 100% post war.

The seller should come here to explain what happened. I think it is a simple mistake.

Agree so use the powers of forum, ask mods to remove for further opinions, cofidance can only remain / if we continue to police these things. keep this a good place to trade. martin.

            Think you're a bit overreacting ..
People don't know everything, do you ?
I've posted a link to this thread in the sales thread.

              Guys

Those of you that know me and have dealt with me in the past will know that I would never knowingly sell a fake item. I can honestly say that I believed this tunic to be legit so am suprised to hear that you believe its not.
That is no problem however, the tunic is off sale with immediate effect. Please can you educate me as to why this is a post war jacket?

              Thanks

              Patrick

I have had many dealings with Patrick W and all items have been exactly as stated. I also just went back and looked at all of his E-Stand listings and they also look ok to me with the exception of this one item. As Jos points out, you can't know it all and I doubt that he had any bad intentions. As said below, a simple mistake.

I don't like the tunic either. It is trying to appear to be a tailor made piece.

That being said, people make honest mistakes, and we have ALL been there. How you handle your mistake is what's important.

                        Hi Radek,

I wouldn't assume a guy with thousands of posts is an expert, nor would I assume a guy with one post is a novice. You just never know until you chat about a specific item, and how it relates or doesn't to their specific area of study.

No one is infallible and honest mistakes do occur. Look at all the threads where experts can't come to agreement as to the originality of an item. The good thing about the WAF is anyone can question the originality of an item and post it for comment.

While there are crooks out there, I would venture to say that the vast majority of sellers are honest. I've had a number of dealings with WAF members from all over the world and have never had a single problem. Jim

                            I can say only this:

It wasn´t attac to Patrick W, but to all who sell original items on e-stand. Why they didn´t ask for opinion before put item for sell if they are not experts on items? Sure, everybody making mistakes, also me... I spoke about this problem half year ago with two italian old WAF members and they agree with me. On e-stand are time to time fakes, but why show and discover them? Now understand them...

                            Regards Radek

                              Hi Radek,

I didn't think it was an attack. I just think that everyone can't be right all the time, even with the best intentions. And I'm not saying Patrick's piece is wrong/bad...his piece is outside of my focus and I'm not commenting on it.

Honest sellers don't know when they've made a mistake, otherwise they wouldn't list the item. This hobby has so much subjectivity to it, and not everybody posts for comments before listing an item (nor should they). When somebody sees something that might warrant a second look, a thread is started, which happened here.

So I think the system is working.

                              Best regards,

                              Jason
